What Happens?

• Nosebleeds can be caused by trauma, foreign bodies, infection, clotting problems, or lesions in the nose.  
• The nose is very vascular and can bleed significantly  

What Does It Look Like?

• Notice if the blood is coming from one nostril (note which one) or both nostrils

What Do You Do?

• Attempt to keep the pet calm
• Use an ice pack against the side that is bleeding
• Do not put anything up the nose
• Yunnan Baiyao, a chinese herb, can be used to help stop nosebleeds
